# Way: Google Maps Store Locator

> Way is a store locator app for Shopify, made by Effectify LTD. It adds a Google Maps store locator to a Shopify store, so shoppers can search the merchant's locations, find the closest one, see if it is open and get directions in Google Maps. It works for retail stores, showrooms, dealers, stockists and pickup points, from 1 location up to 2,000.

## Install

- [Way on the Shopify App Store](https://apps.shopify.com/sticky-navigate-to-store): "Built for Shopify" app
- [Demo store](https://tools.foxsell.app/tools/fox-demo-delight/store?app=sticky-navigate-to-store&path=/): see the locator live on a Shopify store

## Features

- Store map: all locations on one Google Map, searchable by city or address.
- Closest store first: the list puts the nearest location at the top.
- Opening hours: each store shows if it is open or closed right now, and when it opens or closes.
- Directions in Google Maps: "Get direction" opens Google Maps in a new tab with the store as the destination. Way does not draw routes inside the store.
- Show it where you want: a floating "Find a store" map button, a map widget on any page you choose, and a pop-up for stores with multiple locations.
- Your brand: colours, fonts, corners and map marker presets, plus custom CSS.
- Bulk import and export: add or update all locations at once from a spreadsheet (CSV, XLS or XLSX).
- Your language: every text shoppers see can be edited and translated.
- Works with any Shopify theme, installs in one click and needs no Google Maps API key.

## How it works

1. Install Way from the Shopify App Store.
2. Add your locations one by one, or import them all from a spreadsheet.
3. Choose where the locator appears and match it to your brand.
4. Shoppers search, find the closest store, check the hours and tap "Get direction" to open Google Maps.
